At KCC, we warmly welcome international families and are proud to provide a safe, supportive and enriching New Zealand environment for children from all over the world.

We understand that travelling to a new country can be both exciting and challenging and our team is here to help make the transition as smooth as possible for both children and parents.

A Welcoming and Inclusive Environment

We celebrate diversity and value the many cultures, languages and experiences that international families bring to our centre. Children are encouraged to share their culture, build friendships and develop a strong sense of belonging within our community.

Learning About New Zealand Culture

As part of our programme, children are also given the opportunity to learn about and experience New Zealand’s culture, traditions and values in meaningful and age-appropriate ways.

This includes:

  • Exploring Te Ao Māori (Māori language, stories, and traditions)
  • Learning about New Zealand celebrations and customs
  • Engaging with nature, local environment and outdoor learning
  • Developing respect for the land (whenua), people and community
  • Participating in cultural experiences that reflect Aotearoa New Zealand

Through these experiences, children build a sense of connection to their new home while still feeling proud of their own cultural identity.

Short-Term Enrolments Available

We understand that some families may be in New Zealand for a short period of time. We offer flexible short-term enrolment options to suit your needs, whether you are here for work, study or travel.

Our team will work with you to ensure your child settles in quickly and feels comfortable, even during a shorter stay.

Open During School Holidays

We are open throughout the school holidays, providing consistent care and learning all year round. This allows children to maintain routines, friendships, and ongoing development without interruption.
