About KCC Kids Club

KCC Kids Club formerly know at Kids Crafty Clubs has been operating for over 30 years, firstly in Pakuranga and now in Howick. We provide before school care, after school care and school holiday care for children aged 5 – 14 years old.

 

We are OSCAR accredited, WINZ approved & we love what we do!

At KCC Kids Club, we believe that children have the right to quality care and recreation during their out of school time. We are committed to providing a safe, fun, caring and child-focused environment where children can relax, play, socialise and unwind after a busy school day.

Located in our own dedicated space separate from the school environment, children are able to feel comfortable, enjoy a change of atmosphere and spend time with friends in a supportive setting.

We also provide transport to and from local schools, offering added convenience and peace of mind for families and whānau.

 

We welcome children from a range of local schools, giving tamariki the opportunity to build strong social connections and friendships across different school communities.

 

At KCC, every child is valued, respected and encouraged to be themselves. We use a positive approach in delivering our programme, ensuring every child feels supported, included, and heard.

Kids Club Services

Before School Care

Start the day right with our nurturing before school programme as we provide breakfast & fun morning activites.

KCC provides a safe, fun and engaging environment for your child before we drop them off to school in time for when the school bell rings.

After School Care

Children are collected from all local schools and come back to KCC to enjoy their afternoon.

 

We provide, homework help, creative activities and afternoon tea in a purpose designed venue.

 

 

School Holiday Programme

Keep your child entertained during the school holidays with KCC.

Our holiday programmes are packed with exciting activities, outings for children aged 5 - 14 years.

Our programme is out one month prior to the holidays.

Early bookings are recommend to ensure your child has spot at Kids Club.

What is an OSCAR programme?

OSCAR stands for Out of School Care and Recreation. That means we look after you before school, after school and sometimes in the holidays and we make it fun!

Is OSCAR only about playing?

At KCC, we believe it is very important for children to have a break from school and time to play, relax and socialise with their friends. Through play, children build confidence, creativity, independence and strong social connections, all while having fun!

We also provide care for children from a range of local schools, giving tamariki the opportunity to meet new friends and build stronger connections with children from different school communities.

What kinds of activities do you offer?

We offer a variety of engaging activities including:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Outdoor play
  • Sports and games
  • Lego and construction play
  • Baking and sensory activities
  • Group games and challenges
  • Holiday programme trips and special events

Children are encouraged to explore their interests, be creative and have fun!

What if my child feels nervous or shy?

That’s completely normal. Our caring teachers help children settle in, build friendships and feel comfortable at their own pace. We work hard to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for every child.

What food is provided?

We provide a healthy morning & afternoon tea during our before & after-school programme. During holiday programmes, children will need to bring their own lunch unless otherwise advised.

What if my child has allergies or medical needs?

Please let us know about any allergies, medical conditions or medications. Our teachers are trained to support children’s health and wellbeing and follow individual care plans where needed.

How are children kept safe?

Children are supervised at all times by experienced teachers. We follow safety procedures for sign in/sign out, excursions, emergency situations and daily routines to ensure all children are safe and supported.

KCC Kids Club offers free venue hire for enrolled families so you can celebrate your child's special day in our large and safe indoor space.
